Motorola V635
V635 Swivel Holster?
I just picked up a brand new motorola 635 and it should arrive soon. I am used to the Nextel-style holsters (plastic, swivel holsters) and wanted to know where i can get one for this phone.
would a holster from the V600 fit?

All i saw were pleather cases with the belt holster clips. (which are hideous btw)
im looking for a direct snap-on black plastic holster.

I have one from cingular that works for the V600, V400, V300 and it works fine with my V635. It is a black direct snap-on swivel holster.

Well, they're all real leather, but I think I misunderstood what you were looking for. I don't think you'll find one like that at the moment - not many accessories are available for this phone yet.

Whether or not they are as hideous as your comment, they are in fact made of real leather.

I just purchased a black plastic case (holster) that the phone clips in and out of...the clip does swivel, but it cannot be taken off (like other cases that allow you to just remove the phone and keep the clip on).
Works very well for me so far. This was mentioned in an earlier post...The package says "compatible with Motorola V400 series" and they push it with the V551, but it does in fact fit the V635 perfectly. On the back it says the that it is for all the similar models (300, 400, 500, 600). The people in the Cingular store were not even aware of that 🙂
Call the stores to see if they have the black plasitc holster that says it is for the V400...Hope you can find it!

Since I am considering purchase of the v635 or the v551 or the v3. I checked the dimensions for several phones posted on this site. Using the posted dimensions, the sizes of the v600 and the v620 are almost identical. The v551 and the v635 are shown to be almost identical. All 4 of the phones have similar size with the v551/235 pair about 0.10" inches wider, 0.06 deeper and 0.04" higher than the v600/620 pair. It's quite possible that some of the cases may interchangible but I'd sure want to try them out before spending the money.
