I called up Cingular, eventhough I am a T-Mobile customer, and they said that the are expecting the V635 soon. I asked how soon and she said soon. I am confused cause Motorola said it will not be coming to the United States for a carrier.

I would wait till the end of the month to see if it was truly cancelled. Both companies CS has absolutly no clue whats going on, they have about same info on phone launch dates as we do, you would truly have to talk to someone in either the business operations or marketing part of either company to get the true info on anything, not CS(who is truly only there to help you with the already released product and billing) otherwise CS reps would just blast out false info, or inaccurate info and then a whole lotta more people would be mad and then can blame it on the company itself.

Are you a Cingular rep, Motorola rep, or T-Mobile rep? I don't know if T-mobile will carry it, since that phone has EDGE, and T-Mobile doesn't have EDGE launched officially yet. 😕

I am a electronics tester, i work on a different level of communications, i used to test mobile phones. so i know the frustration that each company goes through and consumers too. i want this phone over here too cause i had one when i was over in europe finishing my studies and it really is a solid phone, you'd be suprised of the crap Europeans go through to find a decent phone, they basically put out what ever works, then they work out the problems. i dont even want to go into what the Japanese go through.

I hope T-Mobile gets the phone, cause I see the Rogers Wireless in Canada just got their version of the phone.

I would hope that a US carrier would get this phone just tobe more upto date with the new technology as far a mobile phones go and not let Canadian companies surpass us, I would just wait till you hear an official word on the phone before slamming $3-400 on a non-protected phone, i can already tell ya that if it aint US sold officially it will be a pain to get it fixed for anything that is wrong. Now that Cing.Wrlss. bought at&t they probally have first dibs on new Motogear before Tmobile, they will probally get it a few months later.
