No More V635!

As everyone was expecting the Motorola V635 to be offered here in the US, they have taken it off of the Hellomoto.com website for the US, and replaced it with the Motorola V235, which is suppose to be released in the 2nd HALF of 2005. Also, I called up Motorola Customer Care, and they confirmed that it was cancelled, and will not be released for a carrier.

You can still find it online and in some Indirect dealers, but it will not be released for any GSM carrier here in the USA.

The V235 looks like a V600, but has video capture.

You can't be serious. Did they give you a reason? Is it possible to die of a broken heart? 😢

You can still buy it unlocked and unbranded from Tigerdirect.com for $349. It is Brand new and it is just for the phone without the contract.

Imagine that...glad I bought one on ebay. I wonder what the contest prize will be for those tel-sale people who just finished a contest for Motorola? I doubt thaey will give all winners a RAZR.

DO you trust Moto customer care? They are notorious for giving a different answer everytime you call. I guess we will see.

I couldn't participate and I don't have the website anymore, so I am not useful today.

Everyone is speculating about this phone disappearing forever, but no one has any actual proof. All I know is that Cingular has been going promotion crazy on their Moto phones lately. Are they trying to dump their inventory of old phones so they can release some new ones? Maybe so they can release the V635? Did the V635 drop off the Moto website because it is about to be released in the US market? Time will tell.
