i730 cradle - like stacking cards
trying to dock the i730 to the cradle is like trying to build a house with playing cards. You very carefully hold the phone as you place it in the cradle, you slowly release the phone after minutes analyzing whether the balance is perfect, and then you hold your breath as you watch the phone fall out of the cradle onto the table. You then repeat the process knowing that it can be done 1 out of 50 times.
please tell me it is my fault, and that I am doing something stupid. Don't tell me its a horrible design.

not rocket science.just make sure it's lined up and press down onto the connector.kinda hard to explain but just practice it.it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. 😁

The problem is that you are not using the cradle properly. You need to swivel the case open so that it provides a support stand that supports the phone from behind. Your troubles come from trying to place your phone in it while it's in the flat, storage position.
