Hi there, new i730 owner who upgraded from i700. When I try to sync my i730 to my pc, the i730 says connecting to host, but doesn't. Active sync doesn't see it even though the device manager lists it. Tried soft reset, hard reset, pc reboot, reinstalling active sync, nothing works. If I reconnect my i700, sees and sync immediately. Even tried different ports. Verizon or samsung tech support doesn't know why. Any suggestion would be GREATLY appreciated cuz i'm goin NUTS HERE!

Hi-

Is it possible that your desktop is looking for only the i700 since both devices have the same name (most likely Pocket_PC)? When you get the option to name the device associated with your desktop, have you tried renaming the i730 to Pocket_PC1 or something other than the default?

Not the greatest suggestion, but I am a longtime PPC user and had the same problem with a new device. The name change and re-syncing the device fix the prob.

Good Luck!
