Microphone on i730

Here's a silly question: where is the microphone located on the i730? Does the unit have to be slid open to talk into this baby? Let's say I dial a number on the keypad - can I then slide it shut and talk?

Check out this link. This is for the i830 which will be the same design as the i730. It shows the mic placement. By looking at it, i assume that it must be open for calls. Two words----bluetooth headset!

So please explain to me how the mic will pick up if it is on the keyboard. 😕 I hope you don't have to open it, but look at the location on my last post.

The mic is not in the keyboard, it is at the bottom of the phone like it is for the Audiovox 6600. Therefore, open or closed, it will pick up your voice.

That does make sense. I didn't know the 6600 was that way. I am happy know. Thanks.

The Mic's on most cell phones and head sets are located at your cheek bone. You almost never speak directly into the mike.
