Windows 2003 - Why Bother?
Since 2005/magneto shouldn't be that far off, it is hard to justify buying a new ppc. I have a 2003 device that I sure as hell wouldn't have bought if I didn't HAVE to have one back in November. PPC has too many issues but then again so does Palm OS 4.x.
I'm not positive if a Palm OS6 and a Windows 2005 device were availble on a somewhat similar device which I would go for but at this point I would do my best to hold out for either before putting any money into a new device. It would be fine if they said buy this now and you will be able to upgrade to the next OS but unlike PCs there is no guarantee on an upgrade.

Actually, magneto is a little farther off than you think. Microsoft is supposedly releasing it in the third quarter and then it takes, on average, about a year for a phone company to develop a phone using that operating system.
