How to use a Self-Recorded "My Sound" as your own personal "custom custom ringtone"
I just happened to notice several people complain about not being able to use a self-recorded "My Sound" as a ringtone. However, I thought I'd shed some info on this very easy process to get it to work. When you get this to work, i'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. First thing I did was record myself mimicking a default ringtone from the phone. and when i got this to work, and someone called me, all of my friends were busting out laughing so hard. I absolutely love being able to do this. so anyway, to get to the step by step details.
*If this has already been figured out and posted by someone else, my bad then. But I haven't seen anyone shed any...

So i am guessing that you have to have the data cable to do any of this...I have the Mini SD card. Any help?

I hope I am not wrong, but I think I recall someone using bitpim with bluetooth. I don't know about the other program. I have not tried it yet, because I can't find my bluetooth usb dongle. I think I only paid about $20 for my dongle. The user guide has instructions on pairing (connecting with bluetooth). 🙂

Yes, I checked last night, but the "sales rep" at Verizon told me there IS no usb connecting cable for the 8100. But then, I know they lie just to get rid of people. So the bluetooth thing might be an option.
That leaves me wondering how all these other people are downloading/uploading to/from their phones?
