stupid automated voice

i'm sure this has been covered before, but i cant find it.

is there any way to get my phone to stop saying "verizon wireless" "extended network"? its really annoying.

Go into the menu, go to settings and tools, go to sounds, go to service alerts, go to ERI sounds, and turn them off. Enjoy.
