Now I know just a few days ago someone asks a question that had already been answered and you gave them crap, but I have a question for either of you that has already been answered but I would like to get instructions from either of you because you seem to know the most. I am trying to decide what phone to upgrade too. I have some questions:
1. With v7 firmware, would you recommend using the old mp3 player or stay with the new vcast music and the .wma files. Along those lines do you know if you have to pay money to use that even if you don't download the songs, you just get them off of your computer and put on the minisd?

2. With v7 firmware, what the steps in using the bitpim to put your own ringtones onto the phone?

1. It all depends. The advantages of using the VCAST MUSIC PLAYER is that you can manage your music, make playlists, etc. (as far as I can tell, though, you can only do this if you are in a VCAST area, although you can still use VCAST MUSIC, just not the optional things. Someone correct me if I am wrong). Either player is good, IMO. Just depends on which steps you are willing to take to put songs on. You do not need to pay to use the VCAST MUSIC, unless you are downloading directly from your phone. You can put your own music into WMP 10 and sync it to your phone.

2. Bitpim works the same on V07 as the previous version. I don't have a lot of time right now to go into step-by-step detail, but you can download Bitpim using this link...

Sure do! Won't post them here though, mods keep deleting the threads. Check on howardforums.com They allow those kind of threads over there. One thing to note.....actually use the search feature to find what you are looking for, instead of starting another thread about it. It may take some patience and alot of reading, but the information is there.
