LG VX-8100
Is There A Next Version Phone Coming Out?
Hi,
Since the 8100 has been out a long time, is LG going to have an upgrade to this model, like the 8100 was an upgrade to the 8000? I know they came out with the 9800, but I am looking for a flip phone.

Heard of an 8400, but when I googled it it sure didn't look like an upgrade, looked liked a basic phone, so I don't know??????????

From a feature point of view great... but the reason I love the 8100 so much is they made it so chock full of features AND kept a great form factor. The swivel candy bar isn't all that great IMO... plus adds another potential failure point.
Coming from all the great Nokia candy bars of the past, I just love the compactness and the speakers on this thing. Amazing.
Even the new 9800 may be nice with it's keyboard and PIM functions but it's too big and bulky when you just are asking for a good phone...
The thing I know will be coming is a shrinking of all this technology... but since I think the 8100 is verging on being too small for my hands it'll be interesting if I can even hold it against my ear with my shoulder without it fallin...

I'll have to wait and what it's like if it ever comes to the states. I genereally like flip phones, but I'm open to other styles. Intially I didn't like the 9800, but after playing with it a few times while waiting for upgrades on the 8100 I like it more. It's not as big as I intially thought, or maybe it was the hot blonde that had one that changed mind.
