V Cast Music... issues??

Does anyone else come across this issue when trying to search for a specific BAND or SONG on V Cast Music.

Say you are looking for "THE POLICE." If you are lucky, you will be able to find them (and all of their music) under "POLICE." But, let's say that no listing come up. To search any BAND name starting with "THE", it doesn't allow you to type in "THE (space) P..." Meaning, you have to search ALLLLLLLLL thru the "THE" listings (100's of them) to FINALLY get to the letter you're looking for... in this case, "THE POLICE". Basically, if a band or song name is 2 words, it WILL NOT allow one word... space... and the first letter of the 2nd word.

Any one else have this "SERVER ERROR/CONNECTION ERROR" message come up EVERY TIME tryi...

Interesting... I wonder if we can insert a wildcard (e.g., "*") or something to help that...

I haven't done anything but search on a single name that's part of the whole name. I hadn't tried just letters of a name yet.

Only had the server error once and that was with a single bar...

I have gotten the server error/connection error more than enough times to annoy me! It makes me a little apprehensive about going through the purchase process, since it may take forever to complete or not work at all.

Searching seems to work best slowwwwly. For example Police: first put in P and let the screen come up, then O, let it come up with all the POs, etc. until you get close to what you want.

Wondering... during the Grammys there was a commercial for vcast music, maybe I was halucinating, about a free Black Eyed Peas download. Tried it and found nothing. Anybody get it?

Yes.... I hear what you're saying. That is how I look things up. The Police... type in a P... (wait)... O... (wait) and yes, eventually, if that group is in there, it will be below on the list.

But try looking it up the other way... THE Police... T... H... E... and then see if you can insert a SPACE... and then P...

I immediately get that server/connection error. Any band or song that, to help you narow down your search, it won't allow more than one word...

For those of you who ARE able to search 2 words... how did you do it? I try inserting a SPACE after THE... ERROR. I try NO SPACE... ERROR. It would just be more convienient not to have to scroll thru EVERY SINGLE "THE" band to get to "THE POLICE", for example. And, yes, i...

I am ONLY using the phone to download and search for music. Have not done anything thru the computer with it yet. Still, you should still be able to search out a name that is possibly 2 words, in my opinion.

Are you able to do it????

There is definitely a problem with the way the vcm search works on the phone. I played with it this weekend and would get no match for things that I had already seen on it. Multiple words don't work. Called Verizon, they say there is no alert about the search not working properly. The search on the phone is meant to be used with keywords only, so that explains it, but doesn't make it user friendly! Lot's of scrolling and guessing what the keyword should be. Supposedly if you access vcast music on your computer you can search complete names. Haven't tried it. I still have dial-up and I am sure it will take forever. Verizon DSL is not in my area.🙂 You also have to buy the music essentials kit to make it work. They didn't tell me that in the s...
