CHARGING SYNC CRADLE
please excuse if this has already been discussed
verizon will be selling a charging sync cradle for the 8100. it comes with the power supply but the data cable is separate. i believe it's going for 30 which is the same as the standard travel charger. it's a stand up style cradle. verizon is also selling a music essentials bundle for 30 that includes the usb cable, software(windows media player 10 - for music transfers only as far as i know), and a stereo headset. these same items are also available for the samsung a950.
it doesn't look like they'll be stocking the cradles in stores, at least not at first, but they can be ordered at the stores and online.

I ordered both the Verizon and and aftermarket model, and found the aftermarket one far superior. First off it has the capability of charging a second battery, which the Verizon model doesn't. Also it is designed in such a way that the phone slides right into the charging port whereas Verizon's model can require some fumbling around to get the phone aligned into the cradle properly. On the plus side for the Verizon charger it appears to have a data port on the back of it and it also uses the standard, included wall charger to plug into the back of the cradle so that you can just keep a wall charger handy for travel.
As far as it not being OEM, the Verizon charger is not made by LG either and is just branded with the VZW logo. I've had...

Read your post and went to ebay to find the charger myself. I put the web address at the bottom of this reply, if it doesnt work you need to do a search for ebay stores which should be a link on the Ebay website.To do a search for Ebay stores go to the Ebay home page, on the top left under the specialty sites column the 2nd item down is EBAY STORES click there . The store is called bargaincell. I just purchased a desktop charger & battery for 19.99 and a .99 cent leather case 🙂 specifically made for the LGvx8100.

that's pretty sweet with the battery charger included. i use the battery only wall charger from verizon for mine and love having a backup battery fully charged at all times.

I ordered my charging cradle from BargainCell. Has anyone else ordered from them? If so, how long did it take? They sent me an email last Thurs stating it was shipped, but USPS still has no record of the item. Anyone else had this problem?

Got mine today from smartstation and it works great, It says its for the vx 6100 but they are the same hookup and battery. I bought mine from smartstation on ebay on Jan 31st and today it came no problem at all. Even a extra battery! 🤣
