DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY I CAN'T CONNECT???

I have purchased the data cable for my vx-8100 and cannot connect to the internet. I have used the correct user name and password to connect to the internet with my vx8000 and have connected successfully. My problem is that everytime that I try to connect to the internet with my 8100 it states that I don't have a correct username and password to connect and I do! Is there a setting in the phone's programming that I need to change in order to make this work??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am assuming that your phone has received the version 4 update if so then the DUN feature using vzw as you password has been disabled.

still dial #777
your PW and username will be qnc

not as fast as before but extremely free

Sorry but I forgot a very important detail that only works if you are using the program Datapilot's internet connectivity feature.

or P2P for it.

I'm having a simaler problem if anyone can help me too. I use a local dial up proviter that I use at home and I thought it would be nice to use with my cell phone. My problem thought when it dails it tell me there is no dial tone so it can not connect. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, how do I get a dial tone on a cell phone.

I'm not sure if you are having the same issue as I am. I have set up my 8100 as a modem after downloading the drivers necessary to do so. You have to manually set up a dial up connection from your network connections in Windows. My issue is that the configuration is stating that my username and password is incorrect, even though this configuration has worked on my lg 8000 and another one of my 8100's. With my lg 8000, I had to go into the phone's programming and change the settings to allow a USB cable to be connected to the phone.
