Not sure if anyone saw this or not. Seems like LG is finally marketing its phone.

That's an interesting post. Click the "specs" tab under the phone and look at the "memory" specification - it says "512mb". It also says memory is expandable via miniSD. Makes me wonder, did LG make this with 512mb and VZW somehow used all that? Or is the LG site mistaken?

Yeah that was brought up earlier as maybe being a misprint. I seriously doubt the Verizon UI and software take up half a gig of storage...

VZW blocks some of the memory (most of it). The same thing happened with the VX-8000. The 8000 was (and still is) advertised to have 128MB of memory by LG, but you only get around 40MB when you buy the phone from Verizon. I am guessing this is the same thing.

Yeah and it also says something about being able to record up to 200 voice memos (max. of 1 minute in length). But when you try that feature, it says it's not available. The only thing is to go under My Sounds and Record New - which I guess is about the same, but still...

That "not available" mssg appears in the closed clam position. In order to use the side microphone key you need to flip the phone open, then press the microphone key and hold for a second and the microphone pic pops into view. 😉
