Class-action lawsuit

Lax

Anyone interested in a class-action lawsuit against Verison for the lack of Bluetooth applications on the 8100 or any of their other phones? One could make an argument that these phones were sold on promise that they were Bluetooth capable. They are not. Only ONE function is allowed with these phones and that is with the use of a headset. This is outrageous.

Were you denied a return within the 15 day return period? If not, you have nothing.

Why don't you sue the internet advertising companies that send you emails about free plasma tv's, free trips around the world, free viagra, percocet, vicodin, etc...

If you did sue Verizon, expect them to sue you for wasting their time.

For what? To get a 92ร‚ยข settlement?

All of Verizon's sales literature that I have seen contains a disclaimer about the watered-down Bluetooth. "If you don't like it, go elsewhere," would be their rationale!

I think it's better to spend our time bugging Verizon every day about fixing ALL of the shortcomings of the phone that don't have disclaimers, like the MISERABLE volume/clarity problem that still exists even after the so-called "update." Arrrrgh!!!

I think THAT is criminal!!! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Puhlease.......you'd never get paid. I'm still waiting on my $30 from late 1990's when they got sued (AND LOST) for not fully declosing the details of callin plans and contracts or some crap......

Anywho, there's always T-Mobile, Cingular, and SprinTel or Nint (WTH they are now)...

I'm not trying to get money. I have no problem with paying for the phone. I just want the Bluetooth to work AS DESIGNED and intended to. That's all. I don't think that is asking to much.

blunt honesty

You're wasting you're time even posting this. VZ lost a case about the same issue with the Moto v710 because they just said "Bluetooth" without giving any limitations. Since then they have been careful to make sure somewhere in the product info for BT phones (check the website) says the phones don't include all profiles.

If you we're to be foolish enough to try this the previous case would be cited along with VZW's resulting changes. The judge would throw it out citing negligence on your part for not performing your own due diligence before making the purchase.

Farnufella,
Tell me more about Bitpim and a USB bluetooth adapter. I don't know what Bitpim is. Sorry. I was told by Verizon that I can not get data by bluetooth or a data cable. Is that what you are talking about? Please advise.

The Verizon company line seems to be that BT problems are LG's. At least that's the line I got from 3 different Verizon employees regarding DUN --- which I was told cannot be done -- contact LG -- which is BS. When they asked how it could be done, I told them about the service menu: 0-00000.

They smiled and nodded.

As for BitPim -- just do a web search and download the .35 version. You'll have to go into the "secret' menu and enable BT. Set up a serial port connection between your computer and the phone. It works great.

Can I contact you directly about this. I do not know what Bitpim is and when you "it works great" do you mean the DUN?? Or something else? Thank you very much!! ๐Ÿ˜
