LG VX-8100
Bluetooth and iPAQ
At some point you will need to enter a pairing code for both the 8100 and the IPAQ. The screens will come up simultaneously on each device. I just use 1234.
Good Luck. It works great.
Thank you. I gave that a try and it did not work either. Sorry. I just got the phone today and i paired the Jabra headset (Code #0000) with no problem. What do you think I am doing wrong? Maybe the iPAQ is the problem. I'll keep trying. I used to use a data cable and i am really looking forward to Bluetooth. Any other ideas? Thank you for your help.

Word is if you update to the latest firmware for the 8100, DUN to verizon is disabled, but you can use another ISP.
I'm almost there. Can you tell me what the password is? I have it on my other connection but of course it shows as just stars. Thank you.

Also, set your speed at 115200.
You might try this modem string: AT$QCMDR=3
(although mine works fine without it)
Thank you for all your help. For some reason it hasn't worked yet. I need to give someone(?) a call and have them walk me through it. I don't know who to call though. I must be missing something. I have used this system with a data cable for a couple years and since I travel a lot I have used it a lot so I know it works well. I must be missing something though. 😕

Try this if the connection above doesn't work..
access number = still #777
username = qnc

...yes both the username and PW are the same.
Have you set up an iPAQ to work with the 8100 before?? With my LG4400 I had it set up so I could use the #777 network in the area and regular dialup when I was out of the Verizon home area. Have you done that before? Thanks.
I currently have Vcast at least until the end of the month and I'm having the same problem. I'm not saying it has something to do with the version 4 software, but would be curious what IPAQ Lax is using to try and troubleshoot this.
I have a model 4350 (I think). My Bluetooth version is 1.4.1 (per iPAQ). I don't think the Bluetooth version has anything to do with it because my 8100 "sees" the iPAQ and it looks like it is paired. I have a meeting Tuesday with a Verizon rep next Tuesday to help with this. He was great in helping me before. He makes it clear that Verizon does not support this but he is a real nice guy and was able to get my LG4400 to work with the iPAQ through a data cable last year and it worked really good...until another Verison rep messed it up and it never worked right after that. I used the phone/data cable/iPAQ for a DUN combo for work all the time and I was happy with it. Not with the 8100 though! I hope it is just a few settings I am n...
