I FINALLY GOT IT WORKING
fargin a , i got the damn thing working and it is awesome . i personally want to thank all of you for all your help and input. the problem was even though the songs said they were mp3 , they werent , i downloaded a free mp3 converter ,did it, and it worked. F#*K Y*#H. im about as happy as a pig in s**t. thank you again all of you.

Yeah, I'm glad you got it to work, too. I had a problem w/ my card saying it was write-protected. Do you know how long it took me to figure out the card (SD adapter) had a sliding piece to "lock" the card (to keep anything from being written to and erased from the card)??!! It took me quite a while!
