Ringtone and My Sound Problem...

All right, great people of Phone Scoop... Please help me out here if possible.
My g/f and I just bought (like YESTERDAY) two new LG 8100's and we need to know how to get ringtones to our phones...
I need to know exactly how --- if even possible --- to get ringtones to my LG 8100. Of course, before I go on... I am fully aware that I need to "convert" (changing the file format to either .qcp or .mid/.midi).
All I ask is:
1. Can you please give me explicit details on how to get around Verizon Wireless's "Block"? I have all my tones save on my computer. Is there anyway to get these to my phone w/o a data cable?
AND 2. What in the WORLD is the purpose of all the tones in the "My Sounds" Folder on the phone if you can't do...

Noone has answered, I'm sure because it's all over this forum! You need to do like everyone else and search! I'm not trying to be a bi***, I'm just saying, you may not want to wait around for your answer. I can't help you because I don't care about getting custom ringtones because the get-it-now one I got I love (I know everyone says it's a rip-off, but for only $1.99 when I'm going to use the same one for quite awhile, seems like nothing to me), so that is why I know nothing about it and can't help you, but just wanted to say again, search for it, it's there.
