need help with miniSD
okay, i got the card.........but i don't know how to use it....i try to move pics to it but it says file size exceeds available space and when i check the memory it says 0kb used and 0kb available.....someone help this clueless chikie...thanks

Most flash memory cards come formatted but you may want to use an adapter and format it with a PC.

okay when i put it in my pc, it doesn't even show a drive anything that lets me know it's there in my puter

what kind of computer do you have? what operating system? and what kind of reader/writer? Mine came with a drivers CD that I guess is to be used if you don't have XP or something like that. I think I put the card into the phone first, moved some files to it, and when I plugged the reader into my computer it automatically found that and didn't need any drivers, and then I took the mini SD card, stuck it into the little regular SD adapter, and put it into the reader. it shows up as "drive F" and the My_flix, my_pix, and my_sounds folders automatically appeared. I put music files in the sounds one, videos in the flix one, and jpg files into the pix one and they all work.

that the miniSD 512mb by SanDisk is not compatible with my phone...so what am i supposed to get? cuz this is the only thing i saw at best buy........i'm so lost!!!

I'm using that card just fine with my VX8100. It came formatted and I didn't do anything special to use it.
I moved some pictures from the phone storage to the card, switched the default storage location for pictures and videos to the card, took new pictures and videos, etc.

Customer service is stupid. that card will work. i have the 256MB, but the other one should work. i didn't do anything special to format the thing either.

customer service isnt stupid but they are ignorant most of the time =). What makes you think your card is not working? I just put the Sandisk 1 Gig MiniSD in mine today and its working fine so my guess is yours is too or you got a bad 1 (which I doubt).
