Ok, 1st off, On the 815 Vs. 8100, We have both between me and my fiancee. It's a dead tie. Pros and cons each way.
Now my problem, the 8100 lost our pictures and videos, the pix gallery was empty. Has anyone else had this problem or can advise a fix? We lost several great pictures.

I've had that problem. I downloaded wallpaper and even set them as my main screen & front screen wallpaper. I started playing with other features on the phone and then my wallpaper disappeared and the screens defaulted back to the regular Verizon wallpaper.

The wallpaper I downloaded was no where to be found on the phone. I re-downloaded and now there's a padlock symbol on the two pictures and they seem to stay now. I downloaded another wallpaper last night and that one is no where to be seen at all. Crazy.....

WAIT !!! look in your "sent" area for pix/texts. If you sent anything it might be there still.

We have all of those, because we "CC" eachother on all pix messaging. it's the others that we seem to have completely lost. Most of our 6 month old son, so she's a little upset.

i was wondering who might have important pictures. mine were all goof-off pictures of stuff in my apartment or resolution-testing nature shots.

Well, I returned the 8100 for another, after a very disappointing conversation with an LG Rep who blamed Verizon. They might cripple the hell outta their phones, but they cannot make the memory reset itself, and loose only pictures and video.
Hope the new one serves me well, I don't want to have to change phones on that line.
