8100 BMW Compatability

Does anyone have any idea if the new Verizon LG 8100 is compatible with the new 2006 BMW 750il?
Even the dealer has no idea because the car and the phone are so new.
I am trying to pair them up and the car says it's reading data but nothing happens after that?
The manual says that this could take a long time, but this is ridiculous, or the phone and the car are not compatible.

Anyone out there know anything?

The dealership is updating the software on my 2006 750li in hopes that it will make the e815 and the vx8100 work with the car. The car is fresh off the boat but they say that by the time it gets here from Germany and gets into the customers garage the car is 3 or 4 software updates behind.
I hope the update works and I can dump my e815 and go back to the very cool LG 8100.

I'm getting a 503xi. The 8100 is compatible I'm told. Problem is, there's no cradle for it. I wonder how I would charge the phone. Anyone know about any cradles that would fit bluetooth cars?

after much frustration, I switched from the 8100 to the Moto E-815 because the 8100 wouldnt work with my 2006 750i. The 8100 will pair up but wont work.
I got the e-815 and it works with the car but it stays on speaker mode. You cant pickup the phone for a private call without everyone else in the car hearing your conversation.
That made it not worth having to stick with the Motorola, so I went back and exchanged the E-815 and got the 8100 again.
Although it doesnt work with my bluetooth car, at least I dont have to be stuck with that piece of crap Motorola.

I just got my 530xi and bad news. Sales rep said everyone that got an 8100 has some problems with the BMW bluetooth. Address book doesn't sync. Plus there's no cradle to go in the car...yet. I'm bummed out. I had my heart set on the 8100. I've been on this excellent forum for months reading all you awesome people's messages. All for what? I have to settle for a stinkin E815 since that seems to be the only "latest & greatest" phone to work with my car. Plus there's a Moto car cradle for it. Or, I can take a chance and suffer in the car with the 8100 in hopes they'll resolve it...and come out with an LG cradle. Argggg! The agony!

For anyone interested, BMW does work with the 8100. I keep the phone in the pocket, start the car, and BAM, it's connected via Bluetooth. Can answer calls and dial numbers. I'm pretty amazed.

Address book doesn't sync up still. I'll see what the V04 update will do afterwards.
