Re-Load the software

I talked to a LG rep earlier today about the volume fluctuation issue. the problem I was having was minor, just a little annoying. The Lg rep told me to bring the phone into verizon and have them re-load the software. It only took a few minutes and the problem is fixed. Make sure you call ahead of time to confirm that the store you are going to go to has the original software. some stores will ony get the updated version when ever it comes out. hope this help some of you out. it worked for me!

Yes...I have the ???????B?? problem. It usually appears after I send a message with an animation or a sound. What is the deal with this? I had my phone reloaded. You can erase it if you erase the entire box.

I have the same problem too. You don't have to erase the entire box tho, just turn off your phone then turn it back on to make it go away.

I haven't been having that problem ( I don't use that feature much anyway) but I am going to have them reload the software on mine tomorrow. For some reason the bluetooth function has a lot of static in it. The other person can hear me fine but I can't hear them properly (sounds like words get dropped).

They just need to update the software, but does anyone else get the feeling that neither LG nor Verizon is taking them seriously? I do. I feel like they think I'm making it up!

Has anyone gone into the store to get the phone's software reloaded and gotten the feeling that Verizon knows this won't work and is having a big ol' chuckle in the back room over this reloading rumor that is going around?

sorry the only problem i have had is the volume issue. the lg rep i talked to said that re-loading the software should take care of pretty much any of the problems that other people have been having as well. she also told me that if that didnt fix it i should exchange it. didnt have to do that though.

What's this about the original versus updated software? If some stores only get the updated one, are we screwed if we don't have the original software on there already? anyways I thought the original software was the problem.

I don't think they have an updated software version. They have been recommending for people to go in a "reload" the original software, which is what your phone came with. I don't understand how that will work either. I mean, since the problem is with the original software, and they haven't had an update, what good is it going to do to "reload" the software that has problems?!

when your phone was originally programmed with the original software it could have been a crappy or defective copy. re-installing it should fix most of the problems as long as you dont get a crappy version re-installed. (this is supposedly not very common)
