🙂 Just to let you guys know, my store has just ordered the new phones. I am located in Horseheads NY. They will be in our store by Tuesday, July 5th, however, we will not start selling until that Friday. I hope this could be of some help. I hope you all find this to be good news...

Yes, the 8100 is on order. It's cost us $50.00 a unit, so the customer will pay twice that with a 2 year agreement. I'm not exactly sure how much it will be though untill we get the store front signs and such. The info will be there, and I will let you know when it comes in. Expect anywhere between $125-$175

And why would you start selling them firday when infomanager says they are being released next monday? For $200 on a new activation?

Like I said, I have no idea how much it will be until I get it. What is this infomanager thing? My district manager must have scewed up or was confused. I am a store manager and had the assistant order them at the end of the day friday. I won't know anything until monday. If I find out things are going wrong there's going to be some action taken at my store. Let me know what this infomanager is.

I just do what I'm told by verizon. We don't worry about info center or anything else. I get letters, tell me what's new, and I have my assistant manager order. Do you have any idea what the markup is on products? You obviously have no experiance in wholesale... I'm not one to do this forum posting. My cheapest refurbished phones handset cost is $68 I dont see how you handset cost on the 8100 could ever be $50. My 8940's handset cost is $345 how there is no way it could be $50 not even directs handset cost is that low

yup, crap the cost on a lg3200 is around 100 bucks before mark up. i paid cost for for my 8000 something in the 300 range. Check out ebay, i don't think used lg 7000 would be going for close to 200 bucks if that was a case.

Your obviously an idiot. Cell phones don't have a markup. They are actually sold for less then what we pay for them, that is why you can only get a good deal when you are out of contract. Cell phone company never make a penny, they lose on the phones, but sign a 2 year contract that's how we make the money. That and any features added to the plans.
