An update 8100 & 815
Got to try both 8100 and 815 together. The palce I stayed had poor verizon signal strength, 815 had atleast 2-3 bars where as 8100 had none to one.Don't know if the retail version of 8100 would have any better signal strength. Sure 8100 has a better camera. Does any one concur with me?

How did you try two different phones that aren't even out yet?????
...
The phones I tried were test versions and not the retail version phones. I hope the retail version of 8100 has better reception. I am more leaning more towards 815 after spending 24 hrs with both phones together.

What kind of area are you in? How do you think the reception would be for a bigger city (if you aren't already in one)

We got the mock ups of the 815 in our store, therefore they probably will be released b4 the 8100. My prediction is mid July sometime. We have rebates on the 8100 and 815, so i'm sure soon we'll have the phones. i730 is launching 7\7. but will be released to businesses b4 7\7.

I dropped by one of the retail stores yesterday. They said the 8100 is going to be analog or digital, I'm not sure which one. But, they said the reception won't be as good as the 710 which is the preferred blue tooth phone available now.

lgs phones rarely have better reception than motos. And it is digital.

I always had better reception on Moto phones than with any other phone on the verizon network! When I switched from a Moto flip V60c to an LG VX6000, I got dropped calls with the LG in places that Moto kept calls without breaking up in the least. I also had the pleasure of a Sammy a670 that lost calls in the places Moto stayed strong.
The reason I strayed from Moto phones is that they weren't keeping up with technology like ringtones, cameras, and such. Moto was a few steps behind with the smaller techy items that make cell phones more "pleasurable" now...
I live in SW PA and we have very "hilly" terrain and it makes for weaker signal strength in many areas...
