phone is in testing for verizon
from what i heard, the phone is in testing. I figure that they will cripple the bluetooth somehow, that will take some time. then they have to cripple the file transfer ability from memory card to phone, which means you won't be able to use it as ringtones. I hear that it might be a summer phone, so get ready for the e815 and the 8100 to come out at about the same times. e815 first

The supposed "crippling" of file sharing on the v710 was not true for me. I was one of the first to have one, and as long as I have free space on the phone I can use a self cropped mp3 as a ringtone. Same holds true for pics and vids. Drag and drop from transflash to desktop and vice versa. Now the new software update that VZW released disabled that feature, so it's pure speculation as to what will be done on the 8100, e815, etc... Of course, I'm a fan of LG's performance as a PHONE so if I have some "crippled" features, so be it. 😉

I work in the network division and a lot of my coworkers are carrying the 8100 around testing it. My prediction is that it will come out before the memorial day weekend. We are planning for a lot of busy hour call attempts and engineering the network to handle the traffic predicted. It would make sense to bring the phone out before the holiday weekend.
