E815 Case Question/Opinions

I just got my E815 and am looking for a carrying case for the phone. I do NOT want a holster as it keeps the phone too open for me. I need to have a fair amount of protection for the phone, but still would like to be able to see the external display and use the phone without removing it from the case. I have seen a couple of options I am considering, but am looking for pros/cons/opinions from anyone who may have used any of the options below...or if they feel there are even BETTER options for E815 phone cases...

-the Verizon O.E.M Leather Carrying pouch.
-the Body Glove Wetsuit II
-anything similar that allows the outer display to be seen and all functions used while in the case...plus a swivel holster.

Thank you for all the help ...

🙂 I used the Verizon OEM leather case with the belt swivel and have been very pleased with it. Only drawback to it is that it "mutes" the already weak vibe ring alert.

I had the Verizon OEM I liked the case but hated the clip that scratched all of my belts becaue the clip spacing is too tight. I bought the Body glove ii and it blocks the camera so that sucks too. đŸ‘ŋ I was going to get the Motorola OEM case but havent' got around to doing so. I see different prices. I curruntly have the pouch with the magnetic flip. Its fine for a $15 leather pouch. I do want some case that will first not block the camera and also fit nicely and not destroy other items.

When I called the Verizon Internet Support about the leather O.E.M. flip pouch, they said it was the same one Motorola sells (I think they may just add there logo to it or something, though I am not 100% sure). The Body Glove you got...was that the "Scuba II Cellsuit" for the 710? I heard it is supposed to fit the E815, but that sometimes the suit had to be pulled a little to stop it from blocking the camera......

Like I said before I bought the scuba or scuba ii it doesn't make a differene because its the same the camera is blocked and its awkward. Its like wearing a shirt the slopes or doesn't cover your shoulder. I think the Motorola OEM is different but again there are no pics that I have seen online or even on HOFO. The Verizon case is nice but the belt clip sucks. I would not get the body glove case for the E815 but other phones I had they fit fine I think its how its design or the design of the phone. Since my Vx6000 head the camear on the buttom it was easier to design the case and put 2 holes. Hope that helps. I will order the Moto OEM case and when I get it I will post a link to the pics.

If you can live with being able to see the phone while it's in the case (I rarely take it out to make or receive a call) .....

I am using the FactoryDirectCellular Executive Quality Hard Ballistic & Leather Case - it's a horizontal case with a flip over magnetic edge-
It fits perfectly and since I mostly use my bluetooth headset for calls - it's one of the best I've owned.

Thanks Bruce, but I do need to be able to see the phone and have it stay in a case all the time while using it. I got the Verizon Leather Pouch, but would like to hear if the Motorola is any better (Clip Function, plastic not moving around c

Could you tell me the size of the pouch you're using that fits the E815 well? I was looking at the one 3.75" in length (which should fit the length of the phone), but its depth is only .8 or so (and the phone is aroound 1" in depth, according to the specs).

One more thing: Do you have a transflash card inserted in the phone when the phone is in the pouch? Do you think this size should still fit the phone if the phone has a transflash card inserted on the top?

Thanks for the help 🙂

Gic,
If I understanding your post right, (I have read it like 3 times)m when you insert the TF card it does not poke out of the phone. There is platsic thing that covers the memory so you should be fine

Thanks Gremlin! You understood what I meant 🙂 I don't have the phone yet, and I was under the impression that the TF card would poke out a litle on top of the phone. If the card doesn't poke out, I guess a pouch 3.75" in length would be all right 😁

The tf card is small and damn it is small 🙂 You have to be careful when you get the memory

I ordered the UN-BH-i90 -
the specs from the site are :

Flip or short phone: up to 4.00" x 2.81" x 1.13"

The phone fits perfectly - and as Gremlin has already pointed out... the transflash card is recessed into the phone so there is nothing to sitck out (well... the antenna sticks out - and the case is properly cut for that....)

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you Phonewbie....

I have the Bogy Glove Scuba Cellsuit for the V710 and it works perfectly on the E815. Does not block the camera, as some have stated above.

the moto made case fits better than the body glove.the camera hole on the bg case does not line up.but a case takes a way from the looks of the phone so i don't know what to do.the phone its self looks good but in a case you cant see it but will protect the phone. ☚ī¸
