I believe you are missing a number in the Motorola HS number as there are 4 headsets that you could be using based on the model you gave.

I personally use the HS810 and/or the HS850 with my s710a. I had no problem getting either to work. Make sure you are putting your headset in pairing mode and you have your BT turned on on the phone. Then tell the phone to seek devices.

my apologies. it is the HS 810. By having the headset "on" you mean the earpiece unfolded and the light linking blue? do i have to hold in the button?

To connect your headset..u can just easly read your manuel, but w.e.

First u have to close the boom, the little thing that sticks out.

Then hold the MFB, the little phone icon, until it turns blue.

Now on your phone do a search for a headset.

Your phone should detect it and then it ask u for the passcode #, then enter it in..

Now it should be synced and connected, ready for use.

I love my headset i have the black motorola hs850.

Thank you for the help. I didn't need the manual, since i've done this plenty with previous phones.

Unfortunately, its still not connecting. I know, i know, this is suppose to be simple but its just not connecting. I'll probably take out my old phone and establish connection with that to make sure it isn't bad.

Follow Jiggaman's instructions as far as getting the phone paired with the headset (set up for the first time). Just be sure to have Bluetooth powered on within your phone.

Once you have completed his steps, your phone should say "connected with Motorola HS810." Once that happens, you only have to flip open the earpiece. That will connect it and disconnect it.
