Is it possible to actually Sync tghis phone via Bluetooth??
I keep getting "The Syncronization with S710a failed. General OBEX error"
I am trying to sync with Outlook which has a connection to an exchange server.
Anyone been able to do this? What software did you use?

After a dozen hours trying to get this to work I am still at a loss.
Help - anyone - I am usung IR as a workaround but it kind of stinks.

i think you have to set up your computer to use OBEX in its bluetooth services selection. cause i cant send files to my pc, kinda weird. but i dont know how to change the services that my computer has!!! grrr!!!!

You need to download the sync software from the sony ericsson support site. Once you have a bluetooth connectoin with the phone the sync should take you all of 5 mins.

I tried all of this. When tring to sync with the PIM Sync Bluetooth profile (after successfully pairing the phone) i get an OBEX error.
I also tried the Sync Software from SE but for some reason the phone is not seen by the "Phone Monitor" Software so the Sync software does not even allow me to kick off a sync.

Hmmmmm... I remember having a slight issue trying to pair my pc to the phone. I had to try it the other way around first (phone to PC).

I have no issue pairing - it just wont sync.
Also - When you are connected with Bluetooth does the Phone Monitor in the control panel show it as connected?

not automatically, you have to connect manually, there is a button or something for it. right click on the icon and hit configure, it's not really user friendly though...

YES.. when paired the black phone icon in the bottom right corder has a big green check thru it.
and YES.. i added the OBEX file transfer svc b4 i installed the SE software.
They don't seem to work well together though, but haven't done much testing.
Try checking the com ports on the property page in the SE software. Default it come 2, maybe you have a conflict.
