When buying a phone from ebay, but i need a SIM card....
Well, i have an old ass phone currently. If i get a phone online that dosent come with a sim card, how much does it cost to get one from cingular? and will i have to sign a new contract to get the sim card? my contract is up in March and i would like to not having to sign a new one. So if bought that phone could i get a new cell phone could i do it without signing a new contract.
and i will be upgrading to nation wide service, will that cause a new contract as well?????

i work at a corporate cingular location (actual cingular, not reseller) and you can come in and buy a sim card for 24.99 and you dont need to sign a new contract

awsome, so i would have to pay for the sim and then 18.00 for activation i guess is a given.

well do you have a current number with cingular? if you do then no new activation will be needed so no fee will be assessed, all that will happen is you will change technology to gsm and add new equipment... if you dont have a current cingular number then you will need to activate a new line, if you chose no commitment you may lose out on the mobile to mobile feature. and then yes a activation fee will be assessed
