i think sony uses one hell of a subliminal messaging to the consumers. think aobut it when ps2 came out it had this big oll rush to buy one. lines and sh^&. i was one of them fools to pay 500 for one. why? the first damn ones were bugged and had the now infamous disk read error. but still we wanted........ no doubt the psp ans ps3 will be the same. and now this stupid phone.i mean, ask countless agents from a round cingular stores. they in a lot of most caeses will say we dont carry sony ericson. for a good reson. second, i hav had heard (no numbers to back this up yet, so if your a agent back me up on this of tell me difrent.) the sonyz500 has a 25% return rate.ouch. but why? why ?why tha f. do i still want t...

You need to understand somethings. Subliminal messaging was banned by the FCC in 1974.
Sony, who manufacturs the PS2 is a totally different company than Sony Ericsson. Sony's cellular division merged with Ericsson's cellular division. Sony Ericsson really has no major affiliation with Sony.
We are not tricked into liking this phone, we like it for it's features. I can't speak for everyone, but I myself like this phone because....
-Sony Ericsson phones are the only phones I've been ever satisfied with.
-The display: 240 x 320, 262,000 colors.
-The camera: 1.3 megapixel with CCD image sensor. And the fact that it takes quality pictures (my opinion).
-EDGE.
-Memory Stick Duo expansion slot.
-Bluetooth.

drugs are banned people do it, ummmmmmmm let me see many things are "banned" but people still do it -type "Subliminal messaging" in google and see recent examples or many name brands. i work in customer care for yes cingular- and upon takning many agent calls yes a lot of stores wont carry sony ericson- you want some proof call some stores around the st louis area. the only sony up to date that was good with little problems was the t637. and surly you know so much. on electronics you get what you pay for. the sony z500 is still a low noncontract price - ranging from 179.99 to 199.99. compared to other flips. and no iam not paranoid just writing somthing with a little twist expressing my eagerness to buy this phone. but as far as a descripti...

Sure, drugs are illegal. Sure, there are still subliminal messages in advertisements on the net, in newspapers, magazines. But the FCC does not regulat any of that. The FCC banned subliminal messaging for televised advertisements.

I for one am just glad that someome who has no idea how to spell or use a keyboard at all for that matter has said (as he knows all we have found) that the phone has been delayed because of a bluetooth problem. A problem that doesnt exhist in the s700i, basically the same phone, and one that the many many reviewers of the s710a have not found. Now where is IcyHot? I never claimed to have a 'great phone'. But since you ask, i've got a Sanyo 8100, which i've had for about 2 years now. It's nothing special, but that's why i'm hear waiting for the S710.

Aren't you with some 3rd rate carrier like Sprint?? Behemoth Nokia?? Can you read words and numbers?? Compare the specs..virtually same specs except the 6620 is a bit wider, the 710 is a bit heavier..You and several other people hear sound extremely jealous, maybe Nokia wouldnt sell you a phone so you feel the need to bad mouth them..to each his own, however, let me know when you get a phone of some decent quality..until then, STFU..

I have 1GB..as far as the camera, dont say its much better when you havent personally seen a comparison between the 2..I have a program that makes my photos 1600x1200..and speaking of camera, if I had the s710 and was going on vacation or some place where lots of photos would be taken, the camera is least of my priorities..My Sony DSC-W1 would be in my hand, as I am sure your best camera would be in yours..

Size does not equate to quality, remember that! As far as not having seen photos from it. *I* have (as have a bunch of others on this thread)...there was even a link to photo comparison agains 2 other phones. where it was MUCH better - i'd love to see a comparison against your fabled nokia.

Which is a HUGE advantage because it makes a phone so much more versatile..oh, the 1GB of available memory (compared to 128MB, puhleezze) is not only a slight difference but another huge advantage..so you can talk all you want about the bigger screen or the ONE advantage of the camera, but in reality, it pales in comparison to what a phone with an OS can do..you and your circle jerk buddies are not worthy of owning a phone of such capabilities..so keep waiting, and waiting, and waiting, then fork over lots of money for an inferior phone..then when you get it, you can come back here and bitch and gripe about it, and all the while I will be LMAO..

I will agree, only being able to have 128M is a disadvantage - but not a big one. I've never maxed out the capacity of storage on my current phone since at the most only a few photos stay on the phone at a time. Not a big deal, and I doubt I'll use it for mp3's since I have an ipod.
I've also heard that the OS can be pretty slow, so I'm especially glad I don't have that OS running on THAT phone.

Now that's an absurd comparison...Comparing camera phone quality is quite varied. I don't walk around with my Olympus 5mp camera everyday but I like to have a camera with me - and I'd like my photos to be the best they can from my phone.

ok look sorry about my spelling. first of all. but for reals. on are excell spread sheet for the eta on on when the phones wil be come avalable for the orange side(cingular) and the blue side(at&t). thier was a issue with the bt making the phone reset. I know the s700 original does not have this issue. it seems making a 850 band version of it seemed to mess it up. last week on the spread sheet it did not have the info it any more, or even the eta that it had. but i also remember that i was not the only inside source writing on this forum reporting this.
(aobut the bt issues and the set backs with this phone) how ever since i work for cingular as soon i i find any solid info on this phone release date i will post asp.
