I had the same experience at a cingular store!!! 👿 They have no clue or are told to keep there mouths shut. I wanted to wait for the S710a because it will have edge. But I have a friend who says he can get me the 700i on T-mobile. If I just had to wait a couple weeks I would, but this is a headache. I might just get it, even without edge. I wish Cingular would just there $#!% together!! I'm losing my patience. The only thing holding me back is T-Mo's reception isn't that great. I guess I shouldn't be complaining, I can get it for about 3 bills. Best of luck to you waiting for cingular. I just hope I don't regret getting the import version.

Cingular is like that. Every time I call my local store (since telesales keeps sending me back there), the guy I talk to says "I've never even heard of that phone." They even say that about the f#(&ing Moto A630, for God's sake!

Its funny that all you people bash on Cingular reps cuz they dont know about a phone that may or may not come out sometime maybe in the future is this comapny or that company maybe thinks about someday if they get around to it fixing that one thing that might cause a problem. ... Anyway, the point is, working for Cingular isn't just about what phones may or may not be coming out (they don't pay us to know about phones that may come out, but to sell phones and products that already exist). Dude, it's cool. 😁 I'm not knocking the smart Cingular folks (like you, who actually have an interest in phones), but when a guy tells me he's never even HEARD of a phone that Cingular has had on deck for weeks/months, I just think somebody isn't paying attention. I don't expect him to know all about some freak phone that's only available in Malaysia and Iceland, but the guy should have more tech knowledge than the greeters at Wal-Mart. 🙄

Well said, I hope this phone comes out soon, but I sure can't expect these first points of contact (Store reps, even Customer Care) to have any information. These people are given little to no information until the phone is actually released. In fact, when I ask these reps, they direct me here for the best information.
Bottom line, the phone hasn't been FCC approved anyway. Don't expect anyone to sell it before this occurs.
