um, it has a 1.3 megapixel camera. look at the specs.

I don't know why carriers keep putting the cameras on these phones. The resolution on these cameras suck. If you want a camera, you're better off purchasing a digital camera. This is just my opinion. I like high end phones and they all seem to have the camera added on which is an unnecessary feature for me. Most places don't even allow you to bring in camera phones.

The resolution on this camera phone is 1.3M pixel which is pretty darn good for a camera phone. My Nokia 6820 only has a 110K pixel camera and it takes decent pics for the web.

While not a necessary feature, I find the camera does come in handy from time to time... esp for making short video clips.

I totally disagree with your comment that "Most places" don't allow you to bring in a camera phone. I've been to malls, restaurants, movie theaters, sporting events, work, etc. and never once have I been told I couldn't bring a camera phone in. Granted, gyms and some other places are starting to crack down, but most of those places you'd just leave it in your car anyway.

My friend, you're wrong about that. Most places aren't allowing camera phones. Maybe you don't travel in the places that I do. Most of the mid to upper scale jobs don't allow camera phones in the work place either.

Lionsfan is actually quite right in his observations. Camera phones are treated no differently then any other phone in most places. If you are in a location where they don't want you taking pictures, they will stop you from doing so when you try. Since you are are, most likely, on camera yourself they'll just catch up to you in need be.

Amazingly, I've never been bared entry to *any* location because of my phone.

Maybe that's your opinion. I can say most places and I know about the jobs because I work in middle management and we aren't allowed to bring camera phones to work. I can also also speak of the exoeriences of having to go to other companies for business and I know their places that I have seen in writing for myself. Also, what I have been told and seen in memos from friends and family members from their companies. It doesn't seem to matter whether you're at the top of the ladder or a janitor. If they don't allow camera phones, then they don't allow them-no matter who you are.

Again with the previous statement, saying most places with out some tangible facts, i.e. 4 out of 5 dentists prefer trident over other gum, your opinion is worthless. Let me tell you that I have walked in and used my camera phone in a Ultra-Secure Shared Data Center, meaning that government offices were housed there, as well as other Fortune 500 companies. I have worked for 3 Financial firms, maybe you heard of J.P. Morgan, and not once have I been restricted or barred from using my camera phone. That being said, most camera phones are now pretty inconspicuous, and with a little practice you can use it without notice. 😛

More than likely, it'll probably go to Cingular. Who knows though? T-Mobile seems to be skipping out on many of the high end phones. T Mobile claimed that they were getting the Moto MPX 200, then the Moto V400 and V600. Yet, they didn't get any of them.

I just went to the T-Mobile website and I noticed that they have the Motorola v600 available now. I just thought I would let you know.

Thanks but I haven't been a TMo customer for about a year now. They get now that every where else is putting it on the discontinued list. TMo is still behind the times. I huess they'll catch up one day. LOL

Who's putting the V600 on the discontinued list??? It just came out this past April to Cingular and ATTWS.

My bad! I didn't see that Cingular just discontinued it. Odd since it's a new phone and they aren't replacing it with something similar. Yet another good reason to steer clear of Cingular (not to mention they have by far the dumbest customer service reps of all the 5 carriers I've ever been associated with).

Cingular has already done it. This happened a few weeks ago.

Both Cingular and ATT have added the phone to discontinued model list.

Actually at the NYC Digital Life show, the Motorola reps were stating that the company screwed up to release such a bad phone.

Though their new line looks good and has excellent features. Saw this phone in person and was impressed.

Sounds like that was their way of dealing with the burn. The phone's great; I use it personally. I believe the issue was that they had RF issues on the east coast, which big M was ready to fix, but somehow the news reached Stan Sigman's desk (Cingular CEO) and he got upset and demanded it to be pulled.

I see that they have a few new models. It's amazing to see that they have a Siemens phone back in the line up now. A couple of years ago at a corporate meeting, one of the TMo execs said that they would never sale Siemens again. I'll be @#$! It's in their line up of products. I guess that's why the saying goes "never say never".
