Outlook Calendar Sync Problems
I have sever Outlook Sync Calendar problems with this phone, and was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. Also, if anyone has found a fix for it.
If I have an event in my phone that reads:
- Dinner 7pm to 9pm
Once I sync my phone with Outlook, I will have in both my phone and Outlook:
- Dinner 7pm to 730pm
- Dinner 730pm to 8pm
- Dinner 8pm to 830pm
- Dinner 830pm to 9pm
I think I understand that this is the sync software's way of making the item in the phone appear like it blocks out the time from 7pm to 9pm, but once the sync operation is performed, there are 4 separate events in my outlook AND phone!
Has anyone come across this problem, and a fix for it?

I can't even figure out how to get Outlook to see my phone or get my phone to export to Outlook. I'm running Outlook 2K SR-1. Any advice?

I got it running (although it is really slow with a lot of contacts - I have 1370, reduced from 2400 after a lengthy Outlook Contact pruning session). Takes about 60 minutes to synchronize. (Same operation took about
15 seconds via USB on my Siemens SX66 "HTC Blue Angel" phone from Outlook. But, the sound quality on that phone is terrible.)
1) Install the version of mobile Phone Tools that you have.
2) Immediately do a LiveUpdate
3) Download and install the latest version
4) Use the Menu | Organizer | Phonebook and the Menu | Organizer | Calendar to transfer your initial Outlook settings to the Phone.
5) After that, sync works, sort of. Be careful of the precedence settings (Mobile vs Computer). I've discovered that Task synchro...
