i thought there was going to be 850 support in the new version. will there be more than one version made? so tmo will have 900/1800/1900 and cingular will have 850/1800/1900. not saying cingular is releasing this becas i dont kno.

From what I understand, T-Mobile will be the only one with the Hiptop 2. There would be no point in 850MHz support.

The Sidekick line is strictly for T-Mobile. Hence the lack of 850 support.

The T-Mobile version will probably not have 850 - there wouldn't be any point.

But there is a version with 850 in the works. The FCC has already approved it. It's GSM 850/1800/1900 and the model number is PV-108. (The standard version is model PV-100.)

I don't know who will offer the PV-108.
