Odor
Hi,
I know that this sounds very odd, and probably the thought disgusts many of you, but I want to emphasize before I get started, that this must be a naturally occurring odor.
I am a very clean individual and take exceptional care of my RAZR which I got at Cingular in July ‘05 (9 months ago). Over the past month or two, the phone has developed an odor, and it has been getting worse. I really do not mean to disgust anyone, but it smells like body odor. I will exclaim again, it is by no means from me. Also, it is not the mouth piece (so it would not be an odor spread by someone’s mouth), but it seems to be originating from the keypad. I did a google search and I found others that are experiencing the same problem. I am just wonder...

i heard there is this new thing on the market, its deordorent for phones. Maybe try some of that. 😛 haha But seriously, ive never heard of anything like that or what u can do about it? sorry man

Haha! I don't know, it's very odd. I did come across other people when I googled the problem who are experiencing it, but wanted to see if anyone here had the problem? They also said it was a smell caused several months after they owned the phone that developed on the keypad.

I've had my RAZR as long as pretty much anyone - since Nov 04, and I have oo noticeable "odor" at all. Not saying you don't, but it isn't a unversal problem.
The keypad is latex. Maybe as you're using it it's coming in contact with something (makeup? perfume?) that's causing the latex to degrade?
