Motorola RAZR V3
Ordered V3 from website.....backordered?
Hi...I'm new here and I've been wanting the V3 for a while now, so when I saw it on the Cingular website I ordered it. I place my order on 11-11-04. Now when I go to the link provided to check status it says that it is on back order. How come everyone else here seems to be getting theirs? Maybe I haven't given them the whole 5 business days yet? Do you guys think I have a chance of getting this phone this month or will I be waiting until first of the year like my local Cingular rep says. Oh yeah...I'm from Connecticut if that helps.

Most of the people here are reps, they got theirs through a contest. There actually are very few "customer" phones that have been confirmed as received.
This is looking to be a phone in high demand, despite its high price. Since we have no idea how full the pipeline is, it's hard to predict when the market will equalize.
As I said in anothere post, I would try an AT&TWS store, then a Cingular store (company store, not a dealer or a kiosk, and I also would "push" a little bit (politely of course - you'll get nowhere demanding one) in terms of their not having any in stock. If I were a store manager, I'd be contacting my high profit coustomers first to see if they want one - the dicsount for a new contract ($100) is insignificant when yo...

I am a customer who bought the phone from a store last thursday. I believe you can return the phone within 15 days if you don't like it, or find out it is locked.

I got mine yesterday, the dealer only had 3 shipped to him. I got it for $455 with tax and my discount. Not too bad. I already showed it to a few people and their eyes were bugging out of their head. It is really nice, but I would hurry and get 1 now, I was going to wait but decided not to. Thank God, I may have to wait longer to get 1....Anyways, I am throughly happy and in love with my new phone. I am sure u will be too ! 🤣

also got mine yesterday, i was on the fence over the v3 and the 551, but the dealer had it on a 2 year renewal for 389 so I got it, im happy with it so far , love the big screen, it didnt have edge or video but, none of the cell phones out with video arent the greatest in the wolr right now.

where are you guys from? It costs $500 here in NY to get the phone with a 2 year contract.

im in so cal. the corporate stores were selling them ant 499, which made me almost get the v551, so I visited a local agent store and they had them at 389.00

Yeah, YOGA was great today. Definitely worth missing the V3 over. hehe! Actually, I called them before I went to class to see if they would put one on hold for me, but they said it wasn't possible. They also said that there are still 5 on stock so I hope it will still be available when 5PM rolls around.

Since the guy at the Cingular store said no V3 until Jan 1st, I figured the best way to get it would be off the net. So when should I expect this phone?

I really can't be certain. Call around to all the Cingular stores within an hour drive of your home.

In Austin,TX there is a store with 5 in stock but it costs $550 with a $50 mail-in rebate.

I got an e-mail today saying that the phone was shipped out yesterday (11-16-04), and it will be here in 3 to 5 days.
Almost sounds too good to be true.

Man, now that I have the phone, I need some accessories for this thing. I am super paranoid and I need a case in a bad way. I searched some website and couldnt find 1 that was selling a case for this yet. I guess I could order from Motorola and get it up the ass price wise. Any suggestions anyone ?? 😳
