A passing observation

There seems to be some confusion in this forum as to which network (Verizon or Sprint) will acquire this phone. The information page on this phone (on PhoneScoop, that is) indicates it has AMPS 800 MHz capability, which is the old trusty analog standard. Perhaps I am in error (and will freely admit if so), but Sprint is an "all-digital" network and does not use the AMPS standard (they're PCS). However, if Sprint has roaming arrangements with other CDMA carriers (say, for coverage), this might explain why they would adopt a tri-mode phone. I certainly hope it's destined for Verizon, as I've grown weary of the v710 excitement of late.

Okay, I just looked at Sprint's phone lineup and it appears most are AMPS-capable. Disregard my original post...except the part about hoping Verizon picks up this phone. I should've done my homework first. 🤭
