Nokia 6255i / 6256i
Cases
I got my 6256i at Radoshack but they do not have cases and neither does best buy. I checked nokias web site they don't make a case for it either. Third party outlets have a case for it for about 10 bucks online. And alltel has a case for their version the 6255i. Im shocked nokia would make a phone and not a case. Guess i hve to go to alltel.

The 6255 an' 6256i pretty much the same phone, an' thus the same size an' shape. So chances are very good that a 6255 case will fit your 6256i.

I'd rather not get any of these sight unseen. I'm going to be in NYC this weekend and will see if there are any I can look at and touch. Mostly I want to see:
1) Do they allow access to the bottom data/headphone port?
2) Does the belt clip scratch the belt?
3) How securely does the clip hold the phone?

i just got my case at the alltel store it was expensive but it works exactly as it should leaves you places to plug everything in. Since it was dessigned for the 6255i the alltel version of the 6256i I knew it would work just fine. I also picked up a nokia HS-3 headset for the fm radio that rocks.

I looked at the Alltel site and they directed me to at.wirelessdistribution.com. The case there is leather with a choice of a swivel clip or a non-swivel clip. Does yours swivel and, if so, does it lock or ratchet into a relatively fixed position?

No scratching of the belt just a generic clip like all the others i have had in the past. It does swivel a bit. Made of leather and clear plastic. Cost $24.99. Not sure who the maker was.
