I took some video last night but it was cut short, so I suspect that I hit the max time, which was in seconds, not minutes.

Question: If I add a memory card, am I then able to take longer videos? Or is the system set up so that any video I take has to go first to the phone's memory, which is at about 9 MB?

Lorna,

i recall hte manual saying it is limited to 15 seconds. So a mmc card should not increase the length of the video. Just allow you to store it so you have the phones memory.

OK, then, so that mystery is solved. So I would continue to make clips of 15 seconds each, and then upload all the clips to my website and join all the clips with iDVD to make a longer (though less coherent) video.

Too bad one cannot take longer video clips via large memory card. -Lorna

That darn manual. No bro, its only limited ta 15 seconds by default. You can record longer vids, even w/out a mem card.

If your in capture mode, just go into Options, choose Settings, an' then scroll down to Video Clip Length. There's two choices there:

-Default (15 second limit)
-Maximum

If you choose Maximum, you can record videos up to 3 minutes long.

An' this works even WITHOUT a memory card, tho' you will fill up your phone's built-in memory pretty fast wit' long vids. The 3-minute test vid i recorded ca...

I think da thing is, you can't send videos longer than 15 seconds as PIX messages. Tho' you should certainly be able ta transfer long vids to your computer, no prob.

That's probably why the Default is 15 seconds. If i'm wrong, someone correct me.

But if you were wrong in thinking that 15 secs was the limit, then logically there ought to be a menu wherein you could set the time for longer or for "amount available in camera memory." I checked all of the menu options that I figured logical, and there is no place to set the video length time. When I took the video, it cut off at 15 seconds, so it is either a default which can be changed or a set time limit which cannot be changed.

I looked at all of the menu options in SETTINGS as well as in CAMERA, and there is nowhere that suggests one can change.

It seems logical to me that with a memory card, video time co...

Actually I have two questions:

1) If I add a memory card, will I be able to take longer videos? The video clip I took last night lasted about 15 seconds only.

2) Will the video clips tht I take show up and run on my .Mac website?
