So, how does one activate the phone? When I bought my Motorola V60i from Good Guys several years ago, they activated it.
Would the above be an example of a person buying a phone from a place like E-Bay and then having to take it to a Verizon store?

The first place to try is online if you have an acount- or to set one up. The second place is through Verizon customer support which is usually very helpful and they can activate it for you. If you bought the phone at BB then you could have had them do it for you. The store may be the last place you want to go, as the phone is not available through them at this time- which is unfortunate, this is by far the best phone I have had from Verizon and with the best features that actually do what they are supposed to do.

So, in other words, other than eBay, there are places that sell you a phone but do not have the authority to activate that phone for you? You have to go to VzW to have them activate it for you? -Lorna

This phone sounds pretty good.
Have you tested out the different bluetooth features on it?
You comment that it's the best Verizon phone you've had where the features actually worked.
I can think of about three or four functions that require Bluetooth that I'd like to see someone check out.
Would you like me to tell you what to try with it?

Actually I was quoting someone else. I have not yet bought the 6256i. I hope that the person who wrote that post sees yours and replies to you.
