Reception questions

Just wondering how the reception is on this phone when you only have 1 or two bars. I live in a rural area and my house is 10 miles from the nearest tower. So all I get is 1 to 2 bars.

I have been trained that bars don't matter. With CDMA, one bar is just as good as five. I have found this to be true with most cdma phones i have dealt with.

yeah I agree 2...I have a Nokia an older one but it works great even with just one bar. Lets c how this one is gonna be now...Nokia usually makes great phones..

I do not agree with the coments that the others have posted.
If you live in a weak signal area in CDMA, because of the way the power control is implemented, you WILL be transmitting higher power and therefore a lot more current (which increases exponentially with power). Your battery will run out of juice a lot faster compared to areas that have strong signal.
Reception would be OK if your antenna is good.

as long as you stay in digital the bars will not have that much of an effect. I only get one to 0 bars at my house with my 8100 and i have never dropped a call even at 0 bars! my battery also lasts just as long at my house as it does at work were i get full signal.
