tri-mode or dual-band mode

tri-mode or dual-band : which is better for reception in nyc area ? I want tpo get better reception . Verizon manager said that all digit phones are better than tri mode ? What do you say ?

It depends on where you will use your phone the most. I live in an area where all I can get is analog service. When I go into town I have digital service. I couldn't have an all digital phone, unless I didn't care if I used it at my home. Even though you may live in a digital area, remember that when you travel, you may cross area's that are analog only. I would hate to have your car break down in one of those area's and not be able to call for help. For now, I recommend a tri-mode phone. Verizon's vision is to be totally 100% digital within 5 years. Until that happens, I would say everyone should have a tri-mode phone. (With one exception). I know of someone who lives right on the edge of a low area, or otherwise known as a hole. For them, ...
