AT&T Rep told me that it doesn't work with their service

He didn't seem to know what he was talking about because he would put me on hold for five minutes each time I asked him a question. When I asked him why it wouldn't work he said "because the phone is made in such a way that it will only function with some carriers."

Has anyone tried putting an AT&T sim card into this phone?

Thanks,
Juzzling

Well, the rep is wrong. I bought this phone in Asia, and use ATT in the Bay Area, and seem to get better service from ATT than my friends who have state side gsm phones. Just make sure the hand phone is unlocked.

last year when the 3650 first came out, i bought it from overseas and when i put my t-mobile simcard in, the phone would start to load and then after the two hands shook it froze, so i sent it in to nokia and they replaced it for free saying that t-mobile programs their simcards differently from other carriers and the european/middle east phone i had didnt support it. i didnt mind that at all because mine was banged up and scratched and they gave me a new one for free!
