YES! Using BitPim and a data cable. The same way I was able to transfer file from my LG VX7000 when I had it for 15 days. The LG VX8000 will be the same method.

Maybe I misread this guys post. From the vx7000 forum. I think what he meant that he had a cable for LG and sent the tones to a completely different phone in which he didnt have a cable....
By the way, you have the V710 now, right? How does it compare to the vx7000?

I just recently upgraded (7/1) to from the VX4400 to the VX7000 and was bummed that I couldn’t transfer the ring tones and graphics I had previously purchased and the Ring tone program Modtones, which is the only one offered on this phone has no variety and the tones just don't sound “right”.
