Message Recipt Failed?????
I am getting this error when I am trying to send myself a ringer that I made. I am changing the ringer to .mid, 64 kbps stereo, and making sure that the file is no larger than 250k. Every time that I try it gives me the message receipt failure. I send it to a 7000 and it works fine. I need help, this problem is starting to p**s me off. This phone is supposed to be the greatest, but my girlfriends 7000 can receive the ringers and this phone can not. Do I need a new phone? or a software update? Help Please ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ 😢 😢

if you just got the phone the same day, wait 24 hours. something happened with my 8000 that i couldn't send myself ringers untill the next day. also make sure you have good signal, try to go to a place in your house where you have atleast have 3 bars. and the ringers can only be max 30 seconds long. hope this helps 😁

I have Great Signal and I have had the phone for 2weeks. It Does it every time no matter where i send them, even old ringers that worked on my 8000 that i sent when i got the phone will no longer send. any Ideas 😁

thats messed up...hm... try shortening a ringer to 20 seconds and see if that works

if it still keeps telling you it fails, i would take it back, has anyother ringers worked for you?

the first three or four worked but anything after will not, I even sent one to a 7000 and then had that phone forward it to me and then it worked. I am so mad at this phone I am thinking of getting my 7000 back.

i just tryed to send myself a ringer, and it failed. then i tryed again and it failed. the phone is like the weather, sometimes it lets you send them and sometimes it doesn't.

Thanks I called verizon and was credited back for all of the picture messages that I used trying to make it work, you should try to see if you could get compensated.

I had a similar problem. The phone did not like the attatchment from the email program I am using. So I tried it from a yahoo email address using the web pages and it worked.
So i suggest trying another email program or just use yahoo mail as a number of us have used it successfully.

That is what I have been trying also, but lately I have been getting this error so I will try this when I get off of work and see if the change of email providers will affect this error.

I called them and they credited back all but nine of the messages. They also gave me a credit for the inconvenience.

do you get charged the 25 cent every time you try to recieve the e-mail, or just when you recieve it totally without the message error?

every pix message you send or recieve will either ding your prepaid number of pix messages per month or ding you for 25c

Hey I got this same error and here's how to fix it. You have to have either VCAST or be on some other (free) network I think its called 1x to be able to send and recieve pix messages. So call Verizon CS and they have to change it for you.

This is what I did to my 7000 when it was doing that. Go into your message settings and change the setting from your txt-callback # to off. don't turn it on. that's the way mine was fixed.. don't know what that was about. but it worked. hoepfully this works for you all.
