Another simple way to get MP3 ringtones
Hey everyone. Ive been reading the posts on here and I've seen all the methods of getting MP3 ringtones to your vx8000.... from the data cable to the email. The simplest way that ive seen is to use this site called www.freeringers.net. It costs $8.00 for unlimited access. All you do is upload your mp3 to the site, then they send it to your phone. It was real simple and easy and Ive already got a bunch of MP3's on my phone now! Just wanted to let ya'll know.

I looked at it, and really it isn't much different. They have a pop-up notifying you that Verizon customers must set up a pixplace account and that you will still be charged $0.25 per file sent to your phone. Its the same as emailing it.

I agree. I got 2 of them to work by emailing them directly, but now they will not work at all. I keep getting an error that says "message receipt failed."
VZW told me that this is because there is a 100KB limit on what I can email directly. Is this true?

That is close to ture. The LG 6100 I use to have could only take 120KB or less. However the 8000 I have sent at least 20 ringtones to myself at 300-320Kb range. I think if it video capable files can be larger? The message receipt failed happenes to me once in a while. I just go to the inbox and try to receive it again and that seems to work. Also the song must be under 40 seconds or they don't work.

The clip is always 30 seconds and is around 230-250KB. And I tried going to the inbox and receiving again. It still doesn't work. I guess I just have to wait for the new software.
