Motorola A630
New Cingular Info
Sorry Guys Cingular will not be carring the a630. I work for Cingular and emailed the person who orders the phones for the whole entire SE region. She said that it came down from the top brass that we will not carry the a630. It seems like they dont want to make any money. I heard that it was they wanted to see how the LG F9100 did. well it did not do very well.

Of course it didn't do well! It didn't have bluetooth, a camera and the keyboard was limited to txt, im and contacts!

I'm not inclined to believe that. That info is from one person. I've heard from several people including my rep have the a630 on the inventory sheet for March 20. I do see that the LG F1900 is not getting good reviews and it's product itself the concept of a hidden qwerty. All I can say is will wait and see. Besides Cingular have the a630 option all over the website.

Well, i have emailed more than one person. I emailed the motorola rep in my area, the marketing manager for SE region, the purchase manager for SE region, and our ARM. And all said NO. I hope they are all misinformed. I really do want it. It is not on my price sheets and mine are good until APril 1st. SO lets hope it is March 20th

if this isnt on cingular by march 20th, i have a feeling lots of people will feel as stupid(those who said its coming out on the 20th) as those people who kept saying 2pac was alive and faked his death, lol.

I really hope that this isn't true. This phone could prove to be hugely popular on the America's largest mobile provider. The LG phone is a joke. The A630 shouldn't even be mention in the same breathe as that thing. Come on Cingular, u gotta go for it.

I have also confirmed that the a630 will not be released in the SE region though cingular. My manager got an E-mail that specificaly said that we would NOT be carring the phone. Sux, because I really wanted that phone as a back up to the Razr that I carry. . .

My sales rep just told me it was on his inventory list on the 20th of this month. Why would they say it's not comming in when they are giving us a delivery date? Possibly not coming to your store? After all the nonsense of saying they will get it...why would they change their minds at the very last minute...I don't understand cingular. *shakes head*
