Best way to get a sound file on to my phone as a ringtone?
Can anyone recommend the best process to take a standard digital sound file (mp3, wav, etc.), convert it into a ringtone format file, and then move it into one's phone for use as a ringtone?

If you are talking about getting the digital file onto the a630?
If so mp3 would be the format and Bluetooth would be the transfer method.
If you do not have BT on your pc, you can get a good 100 meter(class 1) usb adatper at Comp USA or similar type store for about #30-$40.
