Using MMS to send ringtones

I got Cingular MMS to send ringtones and graphics to my phone. It works as far as sending polyphonic ringtones and graphics to and from my phone but it wont let me send MP3's from email to my phone. Ive edited the songs using SoundForge 6.0 and tried sending them at different qualities, ect, but it wont work. Does anyone know why, or how i can make this work? Can i use Audacity to edit and send ringtones with MMS?

it should only have to do with file size. MMS can send up to 100KB in one message. How big was the file you tried to send?

Maybe thats why the sound quality sucks. Ive been sending files that were about 150kb but when it gets to my phone its only about 17kb or less. Ill try sending a smaller file to see if the quality gets better.
